How to become a member of Energiegemeinschaften München eG
How can we actively shape the energy transition while strengthening our local community? Our energy communities in Munich offer one answer!
We established them as part of the Creating NEBourhoods Together project, and now we are committed to developing and implementing local energy projects. Our first project is the photovoltaic system on the Perlacher Herz in Neuperlach. We would be delighted if you would support us by becoming a member.
What we do:
Our cooperative initially focuses on the joint installation of photovoltaic systems. The implementation, financing and management of the systems is carried out by the cooperative. The electricity generated is sold at lower rates than those of the local provider. This generates profits, some of which we reinvest and distribute to our members as dividends. In addition, with the help of the start-up Otter Energy Trading, we plan to trade energy surpluses within the neighbourhood in order to further strengthen our local energy community. We focus on innovation and further development with the integrated Academic Energy Cooperative at TUM, creating a link to teaching and research.
How you can get involved
– ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
Get involved in the organisation and administration of our projects. There are many opportunities: from supporting the PV system to promotion, financing, billing issues and organising distribution. You can let us know about your expertise and interests by expressing your interest on the back of the membership application form.
– PROVIDE SPACE
Do you own unused roof or façade space in or around Neuperlach? We are looking for spaces larger than 250 square metres to install additional PV systems. In return, we aim to pay a lease of around 4% of the income from the system, depending on the profitability of the respective system.
– FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION
Strengthen the community by purchasing shares and invest sustainably for €100 per share, up to a maximum of 50 shares per person. In return, we aim for a dividend of approximately 3%, depending on the annual profits of the cooperative. Loans from €500 with interest are also possible. If you are interested, simply register your interest on the membership application form.
How to become a member
1. REGISTRATION
Please register on our member portal and enter your personal details.
2. SUBMIT FORM
After verification, we will send you the membership application form. Fill it out and send it back to us – by email, post or in person. You can also indicate any further interests on the back of the form.
3. PURCHASE SHARES
Transfer the amount for the desired shares (€100 per share up to a maximum of 50 shares).
– Investment of your shares: Your shares will be invested in our local energy projects with PV systems.
– Profit sharing: We will transfer an annual dividend to you based on the profits generated.
