NEBourhoods Boulevard: A Thank You for Neuperlach
October 2024. Being outside, enjoying the autumn sun and discovering what's new in Neuperlach. On 19 October, NEBourhoods Boulevard opened for one day. Under a giant garland stretching across Neuperlach's central square, between our Nesting Stool and our MakerSpace. Various stages and information stands were lined up there, showcasing the places and offers that have been created in the district by NEBourhoods.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of the university certificates ‘Mitgestalter:innen zur Stadtentwicklung’ (co-creators of urban development) to people from Neuperlach who have worked in our workshops and Living Labs. Without them, none of the things that could be discovered on this day would have come about.
Throughout the day, you could cook and enjoy NEBourfoods at the mobile kitchen, find out about the energy community over solar-powered coffee, and view the various models of WohnenWeiterbauen, the neighbourhood hubs RESI and STEINI, and the Ecolopes nesting facade in the pavilion.
Building a garden landscape on the veranda with the Hexamodules, turning plates at the join-in circus, heating up the Neuperlach hip-hop and breakdance battle... or simply listening to the NEBourhoods Sounds in a deckchair and securing a place for the filmsat the Ciné Vélo Cité in the evening.
This was the first harvest of our project. Over the winter, we will continue to work on ensuring that the NEBourhoods can continue to take root and grow next year.
